Your photo file

Everything you have entered in the record sheets, your setup and the chapters you marked done, in one place. Export it as a file you keep with your photos, import it on another device, or print the whole photo file.

For a first pass, three sheets are essential: the inventory (every place your photos are, and every account with its last sign-in date), the library plan (where the master library is and how it is set) and the backup sheet (each copy, with the date you last opened a photo from it). The rest can wait: scanning, people and open questions, sharing, the routine and handing on. Keep an exported copy of this file with the drive copy of your library, so the records travel with the photos.

Storage limitations

Browser storage is convenient and fragile. It is cleared when you clear site data, is empty in private browsing, is not shared between browsers or devices, and can be lost to browser updates or storage limits. Export a copy whenever you have entered something you would hate to lose, and print the sheets you rely on.

What is in your photo file

Printable photo file

A read-only rendering of every sheet, in contents order, for printing or reading through. Edit each sheet on its own page. Empty sheets are skipped.

Limits

The photo file records your plans, the counts and dates you wrote down, what relatives told you and the decisions you made. It is not a backup of the photos themselves, it does not prove that any copy is complete, and it gives no one a legal right to your accounts. It holds no passwords; keep it that way.
